Embodied Wisdom: On Nuance

  • Shelterwood Collective 108 South Jackson Street, #205-206 Seattle, WA, 98104 United States (map)

Embodied Wisdom is our seasonal rhythm of communal, holistic learning. The belief that our need for human connection is enduring shapes these gatherings. Our intent is to create intention space for inspiration, connection, deepening, and activation in service of collective healing.

Over the course of the year we will gathering around four themes: trust, bias, nuance, and dread/generativity.

Our February gathering will focus on Navigating Nuance and the Weight of Holding Space

  • Why do humans struggle with it so much?

  • What do we risk without it?

  • How do we deepen our capacity to hold it?

  • How do we support ourselves when we meet resistance or grow weary?

  • What is the intersection of nuance and imagination/rebirth?

Shelley Green and Nicole Greenwald will open our gathering with conversation, then we will orient toward each other to process and glean wisdom from the room. Nicole will facilitate the in-person circle and Shelley will facilitate the virtual circle. After some time in community, we’ll reconvene as a full group for reflections, questions, and collective action.

This gathering is for healers, practitioners, facilitators, educators, creatives, and community builders.

We will gather at Shelterwood Collective in Seattle’s Pioneer Square neighborhood. This will be a hybrid offering with facilitation provided for members joining from a distance.  2 continuing education units are included.
