Mental Health Therapist

“This is so much harder than I expected.”

“Why am I angry all the time?”

“I feel so alone.”

“I just want to feel better.”

Does this sound familiar? You are not alone, and there is hope for healing.

My name is Rachel and I work with women who need support navigating their anxiety, depression, difficult life transitions, and relationship dynamics, with a special focus on working with women during pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood. After giving birth to my daughter, I found myself in the trenches of new parenthood, with a lot of unexpected changes surrounding my relationships, sense of self, routines, and career. This monumental life transition has inspired me to seek an interest in supporting women during this time. I am here to give you hope and support as you navigate these sometimes unexpected and difficult changes.

Providing a safe and supportive environment for clients to work toward healing and wholeness is a priority for me. I work from a strengths based perspective, recognizing the strengths that a person has already developed and using that as a starting point for change and growth.

My approach is relaxed, conversational and direct when needed with the goal of simultaneously supporting and challenging you to explore, dig and learn. I often use humor to encourage you through the process and to break tension when needed. I also incorporate various modalities during sessions ranging from Internal Family Systems’ parts work, Cognitive Behavioral Theory (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Theory (DBT) techniques, in addition to somatic exercises.

Together, we can help you cultivate the change you are wanting in your life.
