Financial Well-Being Series #2: Transforming Money Beliefs

Part two of our financial well-being series will be facilitated by our fellow collective member Jen Marino. This workshop will be an introduction to the self-inquiry process, using it to identify, understand, and work with outdated beliefs around money, finances, and operating a private practice. We will begin by exploring some of our feelings and beliefs around tracking business finances (these are often young and ill-informed!) and then walk through several weekly and monthly practices that can ground us in clear, simple, and low-stress money management.

The cost of this offering is $20-30, with an additional discount available for members at $15. To use the additional discount, please select “Standard Rate” and use the discount code BELIEFSMEMBERS when completing your order.

More About the Facilitator:

Jen (they/them) is a human, therapist, and business coach who is passionate about walking with others through the various fears, pains and joys of life. They got started in business coaching after hearing friend after friend share the ways in which they felt dissatisfied working for others in community mental health or group practices, but terrified to step into the mysterious and ambiguous world of private practice.

The process of beginning and maintaining a private practice is rarely, if ever, talked about in grad schools, instead painted as an ideal set aside for some future, braver self. Adding to this, as much personal work as therapists have usually done, an exploration of our internalized beliefs around money, wealth, boundary setting or charging others $120+ for an hour of our time, continue to be incredible sticking points for many of us. However, the reality is, what can seem like an ambiguous and terrifying process, can actually be incredibly simple and empowering if you have the right tools for the practicalities of practice and navigating your own internal systems of judgment or fear.
