Our residency program provides a supportive, empowering environment
for Master's level
therapists-in-training
to develop their clinical mind, deepen capacity,
sharpen tools, and
hone their niché.

    Receive direct clinical experience with a caseload of 12-14 individuals, couples, or groups

    Weekly individual supervision with a seasoned, WA state approved supervisor; monthly peer consultation and trainings.

    Become a part of a robust collective of healers where you’ll be a part of community, networking, learning, and co-resourcing.

    Receive business development training and a wholehearted blessing to transition clients into your private practice.

As a Clinical Resident
you are responsible to:

 
 
  • Provide human-centered, culturally attuned short- and long-term counseling to adolescents, adults, relationships, and groups.

  • Co-create a collaborative learning environment with other residents by participating in group-learning activities, including: monthly peer consultation, monthly intentional conversation series, and occasional trainings.

  • Participate in co-creating and stewarding a relational working environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion without regard to race, ethnicity, national origin, citizenship, gender, sexual orientation, relationship status, religion, creed, or ability.

  • Facilitate intake assessments, treatment planning, and referrals.

  • Maintain documentation in a timely, thorough, and accurate manner.

  • Consistently exhibit integrity, promptness, and reliability.

  • Uphold contract requirements and program outcomes while providing ethical services.

  • Follow collective policies and procedures, RCWs, WACs, and other professional standards and regulations.

  • Experience other appropriate and relevant duties as needed.

Application Process

We are honored that you’re drawn to our learning community. Our Clinical Residency program is a 10-month container* with a cohort beginning together in the September and journeying through three trimesters, with a June ending.

2026-27 Cohort

Applications Open: December 15
Application Deadline: January 15
Notification/Invitation to Interview: January 30
Group Interview: 1st Thursday in February from 4:30-6:00pm
Final Notification to Candidates: February 15

Qualify

Residency candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Enrollment in an accredited graduate-level program in Counseling; Counseling Psychology; Social Work, or related field.

  • Curious, open to learning, adaptive to change.

  • Community-oriented and collaborative.

  • Capacity to commit to 10-15 hours per week for the duration of a 10-month container.*

  • Capacity to be onsite 1-2 shifts per week at our Pioneer Square location. Transit passes are provided.

  • Willingness to steward a caseload of 12-14 clients. Counseling residents are expected to maintain a caseload of 12 clients. Evening and/or weekend hours may be required.

*We understand that each school's academic calendar and internship requirements vary. We can accommodate programs that start between August and October and end between June and September. We are unable to support students with internships that outside the fall term or students with spring graduation dates.
