Life After Divorce Workshop

  • Shelterwood Collective 108 South Jackson Street, Suite #206 Seattle, WA, 98104 United States (map)

Divorce is complex. It holds a myriad of emotions and experiences — disorientation, relief, anger, sadness, overwhelm, grief, and hope.

This workshop will offer a collaborative, community-oriented space for people to unlock an imagination for what life after divorce looks like.

We’ll explore the nuances of navigating identity, family/friends/relationships, and finances. And we’ll also workshop resources for grief, recovery, creativity, and dating post-divorce.

Facilitated by Coburn Childs, a Counseling Resident at Shelterwood Collective, this is a safe space for you to bring yourself wherever you are in your transition. The hope is that you’ll leave feeling more connected and with more of a map for what you want to imagine for yourself as you build a new life.

Format

This workshop will convene in person at our space in Pioneer Square. You can anticipation facilitation, round-table discussion, and resource sharing.

Coburn Childs

Counseling Resident

I’m Coburn, and when I went through my divorce a few years ago, I had trouble imagining what life could look like in the aftermath of such a devastating event. As a Counseling Resident at Shelterwood Collective in Seattle, I work with many populations, including folx going through relational endings and grief. I believe in utilizing our individual creativity and imaginations to become more wholly ourselves.
