Nourish: Moving Through Grief

  • Shelterwood Collective 108 South Jackson Street Seattle, WA, 98104 United States (map)

Personal meditation and movement with opportunities for group sharing

Grief is a deeply emotional and physical experience-- it lives in our bodies long after the flowers and meal trains come to an end. In this workshop we will open ourselves to our respective experiences of grief through our bodies and our breathing. We will use gentle yoga postures to care for the parts of our bodies where grief might live. There will be time for personal reflection, writing, and meditation, as well as for small group sharing. Please come in your comfiest clothes with a journal and pen, and perhaps a photo or item that connects you to the people, places or things you have lost.
