Soulful Sunday Sound Session

  • Shelterwood Collective 108 South Jackson Street Seattle, WA, 98104 United States (map)

Take a journey of relaxation and rejuvenation with our Soulful Sunday Sound Bath Session with Elizabeth Schuurman of Earth & Echo.

I’d love for you to join me and the Shelterwood Collective for an immersive experience where soothing sounds and healing vibrations guide you into a state of deep peace and inner calm.

During my sound healing ceremonies I encourage you to get comfortable with blankets, pillows and even an eye mask so that you can tune out the outside world so that you can tune in. I start with a meditation practice to connect you with your breath and your body. I then use crystal bowls and other various instruments to bathe you in soothing sounds and vibrations.

The sound frequencies slow down your brain waves to a deeply restorative state, which activates the body’s parasympathetic nervous system and is responsible for the rest & digest mode of your nervous system. This is where the healing occurs & magic happens.

You will feel relaxed and peaceful after a sound bath and may even have had some visualizations, experienced some sensations throughout your body, received creative downloads or messages or had an emotional breakthrough.

Every experience is different & there is no right or wrong way to experience a sound bath. Come and join me for an evening of harmony and tranquility.

Elizabeth Schuurman

Hi, my name is Elizabeth and I’m a certified Sound and Reiki Healer. I discovered the benefits and magic of sound while I was on my own personal journey of healing. I was feeling lost and defeated, in my work life and even in my personal life. I thought, where am I going, what am I supposed to be doing, where am I supposed to be? You know the saying things fall apart so better things can come together? That’s pretty much how I ended up here and now I feel grounded, defined, soulful and feel like I am living life full of purpose.

I have been working in the healthcare field for over 10 years as a registered nurse - I am a caregiver at heart. It is an honor being part of a patient’s healing journey and being able to provide safe and compassionate care to them and their families through difficult times. I always knew that there was something more that I wanted to offer within the realms of health and healing but didn’t know where to start, until I discovered sound healing. Sound healing has been an integral part of my own healing process and I felt passionate about learning the science behind the healing powers of these crystal bowls.

I am here to provide care with compassion, patience and grace and that is what I thrive to bring into my sound healing sessions. I want you to feel cared for, nurtured, accepted and seen. I am here to hold a safe space and help guide you through your own healing journey with sound.
