Dana Yaffee, LMHCA
Psychotherapist
(she/her)
I welcome you to a safe space where you can explore who you are and understand experiences that have affected your life. I recognize how the relationship between a therapist and a client is important to facilitating growth. As a clinician, I show up with authenticity, humor, compassion, honesty, and humility. We will work together to identify your strengths so you may overcome obstacles in achieving your goals.
I use an integrated approach in counseling grounded in attachment theory. Among the modalities I draw upon are internal family systems (IFS), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and trauma-informed strategies.
A little bit about me: I was born and raised in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains in northeastern New York. My background includes working in state and federal relations, crisis communications, business, and law. I have volunteered for a number of nonprofits and professional associations in developing my skills. I have a Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling, a Juris Doctorate, a Master of Business Administration in Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology.
At Shelterwood Collective, I work with individual adults 18 and older.
