Psychotherapist

(she/her)

If you are questioning your long-held religious beliefs or reconciling the impact of your changing identity, you’re in the right place. Likely you are experiencing fear, anxiety and grief because of the things you are saying goodbye to, while simultaneously holding joy and hope at the things still on the horizon. You might be navigating messy relational dynamics with friends or family members, rethinking life categories like gender and sexuality, or feeling stuck with how to express yourself authentically.

You’re ready to show the world who you are. Goodbye people-pleasing and making fear-based decisions- hello purposeful, authentic life! Reclaiming your authenticity will require the hard work of revisiting painful places so you can find the healing you’re ready for. It’s time to reclaim your voice and your confidence.

I am a personable, engaging therapist who has probably been there, done that, and bought the t-shirt. I won’t make you sit in silence for the whole hour (maybe just 5 minutes), but I will help you explore methods of integration so you can rediscover your true self: mind, body, and spirit.

My MA is in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Trauma and Abuse from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. I am trained in EMDR and have completed Level II training in Narrative Focused Trauma Care with The Allender Center. I am trained psychodynamically and enjoy bringing depth and attachment theories to my work, along with internal family systems and somatic practices. My work considers how systems impact lives just as much as a person’s personal experiences. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in various non-profit settings while I traveled the world and engaged in cultures and contexts distinct from my own. I'm a curious human and love exploring new hobbies in my free time. Right now I'm learning how to reimagine blobs of clay into vessels on a pottery wheel.

I work with individual adults.

“Finding yourself is not an immediately beautiful thing. It’s less meeting your soul at the mountaintop and more sorting through the debris that prevents you from seeing the path. It’s less falling into peacefulness and more confronting the inner voices that stir up self-loathing. It’s less revelations, and more honestly allowing the heaviest thoughts to simply pass without taking action that disrupts your day. I know it is counterintuitive, but finding yourself is one of the hardest things you will ever do-and it is also the most life-giving. There’s nothing else that will bring you back home to yourself”
