Psychotherapist and Drama Therapist

Hi! My name is Virg, my pronouns are they/them or she/her, and I would be honored to walk alongside you on the path of healing.

Together, we will look at the stories you hold in your heart about yourself and the world. An exploration of your life story allows the opportunity to decide the values and beliefs you want to leave behind and those that you would like to carry forward. You have the capability to author the story of your life in celebration of your strengths and humanness. My aim is to help you create a life rooted in awareness, peace, and empowerment.

I view wellbeing in terms of our relationships: to our environments, the people in our lives, our cultural roots, and to ourselves. The therapeutic relationship we build together is a (play)space to explore and experiment with how you want to be in relationships. We will co-create a trusting relationship where you decide what works best for you. I practice through a social justice, anti-oppression mindset.

You are welcome here, just as you are.

I am a creative arts therapist shaped by my training in drama therapy. My education includes a Master of Arts in Counseling with Drama Therapy from Antioch University, and I hold a Level 2 VSNT Certification in Narrative Therapy. Our work together may include techniques from narrative therapy, somatic therapy, mindfulness, and the creative arts. I believe story, ritual, movement, and creative expression are valuable tools for healing.

Drama therapy is the intentional use of the healing aspects of drama and theater and integrates embodiment, creativity, and spontaneity into the therapeutic journey, providing more tools to explore, expand, and witness yourself. This may involve taking a closer look at the different roles we embody in our lives, exploring our experience through metaphor and story, or inviting creativity into the therapeutic process through ritual or art-making. Both in individual and group settings, drama and the creative arts therapies establish affirming and inclusive spaces for people to explore their life story. No acting or drama experience necessary! You are an inherently creative being.

I work with adults and adolescents (13+) and I am drawn to working with people who are committed to their healing, willing to explore and witness themselves, and get creative as they embark on their journey of self-discovery.
