SOULSTICE

Embrace Shadow, Ignite Light

December 30, 2-8:30pm
Pioneer Square, Seattle

A retreat inspired by the wisdom and beauty of the longest, darkest night

Sacred Ritual & Ceremony

In the heart of winter as the world hushes into the longest night, we gather to honor the sacred dance between darkness and light. As we work with this celestial turning point, ceremony and ritual guide us to communicate with the deeper realms of our being. By engaging in intentional practices, we will create a sacred container for our experiences, a space where the symbolic becomes tangible, and the mundane transcends into the mystical.

Join us in this communal tapestry—a collective weaving of light and connection. Our seasoned practitioners are here to hold space, guide conversations, and nurture the spirit of togetherness. In this community, the solstice becomes not just a celestial event but a shared experience that transcends individual paths.

Restorative Movement

We will carve out space for gentle, restorative movement facilitated by yoga instructor, Lia Hall.

Lia will guide us through a practice of slow movements and gentle holds allowing space for us to acknowledge and embrace the long dark within — our grief, uncertainty and need for rest.

As we release tension, we’ll make room to engage and connect with clarity, warmth, and newfound energy.

Illuminate the Soul

From this space of deeper connection, we’ll invite illumination for the year ahead through creativity, play, and possibility.

Writing — Putting pen to paper in this illuminating, revelatory practice. We’ll offer prompts to explore the desires that are emerging in us through writing and mapping.

Collage — Images invite us to tap into our creative unconscious. Our intuition nudges us to gather images and as we arrange them, it becomes a process of actively crafting our light, visually manifesting our intentions and desires

Dance — Igniting our internal flame and letting it shine through movement. We’ll blow out the candles and allow our inner light to express our joy, clarity, and radiance.

Get ready to drop self-judgement, release inhibition, and show up to what's wanting to light up inside of you for the coming year!

Feast by Candlelight

Our retreat crescendos with a feast, a communal celebration in the glow of candlelight.

Picture a table adorned with the rustic elegance of the season—wooden accents, soft candlelight, and a feast that unfolds like chapters of a story. Our multi-course menu is a symphony of flavors, each dish crafted with intention and love. From earthy root vegetables to hearty grains, every bite is a reminder of the sustenance found in both the soil and the soul.

As we break bread together, we will honor the lessons and blessings of the past year, expressing gratitude for the nourishment of body and soul. Together, we raise our glasses to the new year, embracing the opportunities it holds.

All the Details

We invite you to join us for a transformative retreat
where we gather to honor the experiences
of the past year and usher in
new light for the year to come.

Our Why

A decade ago, Harumi and Lynda began to gather each New Year for half-day retreats to review and honor the past year and set intentions for the year to come.
Over the years, we’ve journaled countless pages, released stuck energy holding us back, laughed, and eaten to our heart’s content together. We’ve held space for each other to grieve and process, and we’ve catalyzed each other forward by sharing our intuitive and energetic gifts. To our delight, Nicole joined us last year. Collectively, we realized that we wanted to share this ritual with others. We’re excited to have you join this tradition to ring in the coming year!

We will gather on Saturday, December 30. Plan to arrive by 1:30pm, we will drop in at 2:00pm and share a lovely, immerse experience until 8:30pm.
