Finding Flow: A Peer-Support and Resource Group for Anxiety

  • Shelterwood Collective 108 South Jackson Street Seattle, WA, 98104 United States (map)

A Virtual Peer Support Playspace for Adults

This group is a virtual peer support playspace for adults, ages 18+, who are seeking support for stress and anxiety management.

This group is drop-in style. This means once you RSVP, you are invited to participate on the weeks that you are available and would benefit from support. Consistent attendance will yield the most benefit, and we understand scheduling can be tricky. We want this space to feel accessible and spacious.

This group aims to deepen insight into stress and anxiety and facilitate the development of skills and strategies for finding more ease and flow in life.

Group meetings include psychoeducation, facilitator-led skills practice and creative arts activities, space to share about your experience, and a closing ritual. Activities and skills offered in groups are drawn from various somatic practices and creative arts therapies. Join us to co-regulate, share resources, and normalize anxiety and stress with community support!

Please note: Although this group is facilitated by clinical mental health counselors, it does not replace the therapeutic relationship of 1-on-1 counseling, rather, this group is a bolster to ongoing therapeutic healing.

Timing / Format

We meet virtually on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00pm. A Zoom link will be provided to you upon completing the RSVP form linked below.
We encourage you to join from a private space. Come as you are—joining the group in your PJs from your bed or your couch is welcomed! 🙂

What to Bring

Participants are encouraged to bring items of comfort, such as a warm blanket or hot tea, and may benefit from art-materials. No more than a pen and paper are necessary for the creative arts activities, but you may bolster your experience with additional art supplies as available.

You do not need any experience with somatic or creative practices to benefit from this group. You are an inherently intuitive, creative being! All activities will offer benefits for folks who are new to these practices as well as provide a “tune-up” for those more familiar with this work.

Fee

This offering is donation-based. $10-30 per session is recommended.
Donations may be sent directly via Venmo to @shelterwoodcollective
