Improv for Therapists

  • Seattle Center Armory (map)

For therapists looking to build more confidence, friendships amongst colleagues, and fun in their delightfully drizzling autumn

Gain more confidence to create and perform on the spot in a group setting without any preparation. Tell stories with creativity. Build on group members ideas and come up with scenes, music, or jokes as a group. Take these skills back to your home or work by engaging in family discussions, friendships, and work relationships with more spontaneous strategies, or come share a few moments with fellow healers in a giggle or two or 20!

Timing

We will meet in person on Tuesdays from 7:00-8:30pm for four weeks.

Our goal is to start the group by November 5, but this date is subject to change depending on enrollment.
The group will begin when the group is full.

Exchange

$350

An early bird rate of $73 off is extended to the first four practitioners that sign up!
Shelterwood members receive 10% off

Registration

Schedule a screening and intake here or email vero@actonward.com.

Seattle Center Armory instructions will be sent upon registration. The theater room is gorgeously spacious with lots of day light and we use 50% of the overhead lights to reduce over stimulation.

Véro Lecocq

I’m Véro Lecocq (she/her). I’m excited to offer this group because improv is such a powerful therapeutic tool -- I love exploring it with others! Informed by creativity, embodiment, storytelling, and play, this group is designed to be both fun and formative. Overall, my work as a clinician is grounded in my training as a drama therapist -- as well as in a few of my other favorite theories, like Individual Psychology, ACT, and Existentialism.

Chessie Snider

I’m Chessie Rebecca Snider (they/them). I’m stoked to offer this group because improv is such a powerful community building tool. As a neurodivergent person it gave me so much confidence in university when I started to notice some of the games people were playing socially. Informed by attachment, relationship, storytelling, and play, this group is designed to be both fun and formative. Overall, my practice as a clinician is anchored in my training as a synergetic play therapist — as well as in a few of my other favorite theories like IFS, Family Systems, Sociocultural Attunement, and professions in education and music.
