Counseling Resident

All forms of psychotherapy are ultimately aimed at making people’s lives better. For some, this might focus on bringing their actions into greater alignment with their values. For others, it might mean growing their capacity for love and self-acceptance. For everyone, it involves acknowledging and grieving our wounds and the disappointments inherent to human life.

I practice from an eclectic perspective, primarily utilizing psychodynamic, humanistic, and existential perspectives. Those labels may resonate with you, or sound nonsensical, but for me they mean that I care a great deal about how you make meaning, who you have been, and who you want to become. Whether you are coming to therapy to address a specific problem, or to better understand yourself, I will work to create a safe relational space for you to explore your life and self.

Before training to become a therapist I received a Bachelor of Arts in History and worked as a smaller business owner in the hospitality industry for many years. I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Psychology in the Existential Phenomenological Psychology Program at Seattle University and am a Counseling Resident here at Shelterwood Collective, providing psychotherapy for both individuals and couples.
