Psychotherapist

Tolulope Mejolagbe (Tolu for short) is a licensed mental health counselor associate (LMHC-A) in Washington state being supervised by Smruti Desai, LMHC-S and licensed professional counselor associate (LPC-A) in Texas being supervised by Dr. Andrea T.J Ross LPC-S. Tolu primarily works with individuals who experience anxiety, depression, C-PTSD, life transitions and low self esteem. In addition, Tolu enjoys supporting BIPOC communities. With Tolu you will explore how y'all can work collaboratively to overcome obstacles that may impede you from being present in your daily life.

I approach counseling as uncovering the roots of negative behavior in order to break negative patterns. This is done by first developing a therapeutic relationship and building safety and trust. Trauma modalities are then used to heal the roots of dysfunction or abuse. I operate from a client centered approach while exploring attachment styles, incorporating solution focused approaches, and integrating cognitive reframing and body awareness.

I applaud you for taking the step toward inner exploration. It can often be perceived as an intimidating venture but with therapy, you do not have to do it alone. Please do not hesitate to email or call if you feel I am potentially a good fit to come walk alongside you!

Tolu received her Masters in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology in March 2020.
