Psychotherapist

Hi, I'm Jonobie (pronounced "Jawn'-oh-bee"), a therapist and coach using she/her pronouns. I focus on helping people heal from trauma, improve relationships, and discover their true selves. Prior to becoming a therapist, I had two decades in the tech industry, which definitely affects how I see things.

Are you a self-described "weirdo or nerd" who feels like you're not fitting into your own life?  As a therapist who specializes in working with queer, neurodivergent, polyamorous, kinky, and pagan folks, I get it. My clients often say they are exhausted by constant worry that a loved one is about to leave them, having difficulty sleeping, using too much of a substance to feel briefly better (and then feeling worse after), or constantly feeling on edge. If you're wrestling with who you are while managing overwhelming emotions and exhausting anxiety, you're not alone.

If you're dealing with anxiety, substance use, relationship issues, or low self-worth, I'm here to help with practical, trauma-informed strategies. Drawing from my experience in queer and alternative arts communities, I provide insights and tools tailored to your unique journey, aiming to improve your emotional balance and build stronger connections.

Areas of Focus

I specialize in childhood trauma and grief in their many forms and effects. I work with these deeply personal challenges, along with related coping mechanisms:

  • Anxiety

  • Unhealthy substance use

  • Sleep and eating issues

  • Relationship instability

  • Low self-worth

  • Irritability or anger

I create a safe space where your identity isn't just accepted—it's celebrated. Whether you're navigating childhood trauma, processing grief, or exploring your identity, we'll work together to help you feel grounded and stable. Many of my clients start seeing positive changes within a few months, finding better ways to manage their emotions, build healthier relationships, and actually enjoy life again.

Fees

$175 for a 50-minute session

Insurance

I am in-network with Premera Blue Cross and Lifewise.

For other insurances, I’m out-of-network. This means you pay my full fee, but I can provide a superbill—a receipt you submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. We can discuss what this means in an introductory session. Before your first full session, call your insurance to ask if they cover out-of-network LMHCA services (CPT code 90837). Also, ask about session limits, reimbursement rates, and deductibles.

Location

I offer virtual therapy sessions across Washington state.
