Linda Brethorst
Counseling Resident
(she/her)
As a clinician I am open, empathetic, fully present, non-judgmental, compassionate, and curious. I believe strongly that clients deserve unconditional positive regard and a safe space where they can feel supported and accepted. With a focus on developing trust and rapport, I encourage my clients to bring their full selves into each session in order to explore, heal, and grow. I want clients to feel deeply seen, heard, and validated in their experience.
I experience the world as a highly intuitive, approachable, sensitive introvert always looking for ways to deepen my connection with others. I am a second-year student in the Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology program at Bastyr University and have over 50 hours of clinical experience at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health.
I work with individuals who are navigating a variety of life transitions and especially those who have lost themselves trying to fit in or please others. In addition, I work with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and loss.
