Psychotherapist

(she/her)

I identify as white, cis-female and queer.

As a clinical social worker and psychotherapist, I am committed to co-creating a space that feels safe and supportive in helping you process challenging emotions, situations and relationships. As a human and a therapist, I value warmth, humor and transparency. I bring my full, authentic self and believe in the power of relationships in the process of healing.

I am a licensed clinical social worker with a strong educational background, having earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Washington, obtained my Masters in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Chicago Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy and Practice, and completed a fellowship in Pediatric Palliative Care at Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School. I have also completed intensive training in traumatic grief through the MISS Foundation, and received their Compassionate Bereavement Care Certification.

Prior to becoming a therapist, I have worked in pediatric hospitals as an oncology social worker and a palliative care social worker. In these roles, I found that families (and medical providers) needed both someone who understood the unique medical piece of their experience and someone who could hold the complicated emotions that come with those experiences. My passion for helping parents/caregivers through some of the most challenging days of their lives has led me to move into individual therapy.

I work with adults (18+) throughout Washington state. I am here to offer you a safe space to experience your full emotions, self and grief without needing to worry about taking care of someone else.

Payments are received via credit, debit, or HSA card. Ensuring the accessibility of my services is important to me. If you’re interested in working with me but have concerns about affording my session rate, please reach out to inquire about my reduced rate.

Insurance

I currently accept Premera and Lifewise.

I am considered an ‘out of network’ therapist - this means that I may not be contracted to bill your insurer. Many insurance companies give out-of-network reimbursements for mental health services. I encourage you to check with your insurance provider to understand what reimbursement options may be available. I am happy to provide you with a monthly superbill (itemized receipt of services) as needed.
